Fall ’26 VON

Voice and Conversations on the Net

October 13–15, 2026

Atlanta, Georgia

A New Galaxy Was Formed

There was a telecom supernova event this week in Atlanta. A new galaxy was formed.

For three days, people came together for what I will now refer to as VON. In the end, the community that gathered came from across the world: the Middle East, India, Europe and North America. Only a handful of people were from the Atlanta area.

People came from different parts of the communications world. They brought ideas, questions, experience and curiosity. Along the way, they found each other.

It is hard to explain in words what we experienced and the energy it generated. It was pretty special. And amazing.

So many new facts are helping to define the future. People were selling the solutions they spoke about this week and making money from them.

“Founders, CEOs, builders, approachable. It was really cool to be around.” “That was really something.” Both came from emails I just received.

Photos are great for showing a full room. They cannot capture the sounds of the a-ha! moments when they happen, the follow-up questions to a statement and the conversations that are still continuing.

They cannot capture the moment the energy in the room changed.

I hoped people would leave VON knowing more people than when they arrived. I hoped they would feel inspired and energized by what is becoming possible.

From what I experienced, something much bigger happened.

New relationships were formed. New ideas started moving. Conversations began that may shape what comes next.

As I walked out of the venue Thursday evening, I could feel it.

VON is back.

In many ways, I came full circle and returned to VON.

But it is not coming back as something from the past. I do my best to live in the moment. The past is history. It is becoming something new.

To everyone who made time to join us, thank you. You helped create this new galaxy.

And we are only at the beginning.

Sharing gratitude with all our sponsors, speakers and delegates for taking the time to be with us. For believing in me and the work I continue to do. Words do not exist to properly express how thankful I am for the magic that happened when we all got together.

This conversation continues in Dallas, March 30 to April 1, 2027.

The community behind VON

Jeff Pulver

Curating events since 1996. It is one of my life’s passions: looking at what is happening in tech, and building conferences to explore the future.

From 1997 until 2008, Voice on the Net (“VON”) was the VoIP industry conference. More than 5,000 people twice a year in the US, with show floors that sold out in San Jose and Boston.

The community, the experience, helping people connect the dots, drive business, build and grow relationships.

I helped grow the VoIP industry. Along the way I started a number of organizations, including Vonage, Vivox and VON Coalition. I am the person behind the Pulver Order, the FCC ruling that kept internet voice unregulated.

We are living in the RenAIssance of Voice. You can't spell renAIssance without AI.

Voice was always the killer app. The business models broke. The network got cheap. And the conversation disappeared the moment the call ended.

AI changed all three of those things.

Now voice agents can remember. Conversations can become structured records that agents can act on. The network has to be rebuilt for quality, not just cost. vCons make all of it possible.

The generation that built internet voice and the generation building AI voice, in the same room, figuring out how this all comes together.

This conference was curated for people who want to stay ahead of the curve.

The RenAIssance of Voice has arrived. Voice becomes memory. Memory becomes action. vCons give every conversation a file AI can use.

Business runs on conversation. AI has changed what happens next. This is where the carriers, platforms, enterprises and standards people building that future get in one room.
